『Lord of the Ring ロードオブザリング』AmazonPrimeがネットドラマ化

『Lord of the Ringロードオブザリング』を知っているでしょうか？
ニュージーランド出身のピーター・ジャクソンが奔走し本編3部作(2001-2003)として映画化。その3作品トータル制作費2億8000万ドル、興行収益は29億1750万ドルと叩き出しました。アカデミー賞も３作品ノミネート合計３０、受賞合計17。特に『LOTR3-王の帰還-』は、11部門受賞し、『ベンハー』、『タイタニック』と並ぶ史上最多記録となっています。
これによってニュージーランドにVFXスタジオが作られた。また風光明媚なロケ地としても有名になり、映画産業が集積することとなります。

そのLOTRがネットドラマとして帰って来る。Hollywood Reporterによると総製作費10億ドル以上で
NETFLIXとの争奪戦の末、Amazonは2億5000万ドルでドラマ化権を取得しました。どんな仕上がりになるのか楽しみです。

UPDATE! 11/13: As is now being reported by Variety, Amazon has officially given the green light to a new small screen series based on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.
